Mental Illnesses
Mental illness does not lessen the value of the individual even though it can make life more difficult. My goal is to help you know that you are valuable just as you are, help you build a support system, establish coping skills and contingency planning. This includes education and referrals for individuals dealing with mental illness as well as their families, to support groups and information resources.

Prepare-Enrich
The Prepare-Enrich assessment involves session work and homework using the Prepare-Enrich workbook and other resources. P-E is designed to help couples talk through current issues, anticipate future issues in order to be prepared beforehand, and develop skills in order to work together as a team in better ways.
Gottman
Gottman Couples Therapy is designed to help couples build relationships through communication, conflict resolution, trust, and friendship skills; support during problems and in achieving each other’s life goals, mutual knowing and understanding of each other, and developing the skills to repair damage. I use the Gottman Relationship Checkup, followed by couple sessions to practice the skills and conversations in a respectful atmosphere. I have completed the first three levels of Gottman Couple Therapy, the facilitator training for The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. I have also trained in Emotion Focused Therapy and use tools from both.
